Bissingen 1940: Premiers mois en captivité - First months in captivity

Voici deux autres petites photos prises à la même époque, mais avec deux personnes en moins. A partir de décembre, Georges, mon père, changea de patron et retourna travailler dans une ferme à plein temps. Il retravailla de façon épisodique à la construction de ce terrain de sports tant qu'il fut à Bissingen. Ses talents de bricoleurs furent largement utilisés et en plus de son travail à la ferme, au terrain de sports, et en forêt en tant que bûcheron, il répara beaucoup de choses dans le village: vélos, montres, horloges, moto et bien sûr électricité (mais ça c'était son métier); il fit aussi de la peinture (sans pinceau) avec un goupillon, coupa les cheveux et probablement bien d'autres choses qu'il ne répertoria pas.

Here are two other small pictures taken at the same time, but with two people less. From December onwards, my father Georges changed bosses and went back to work on a full-time farm. He worked episodically on the construction of this sports field while he was in Bissingen. His skills as a handyman were widely used and in addition to his work on the farm, on the sports field, and in the forest as a lumberjack, he repaired many things in the village: bicycles, watches, clocks, motorcycles and of course electricity (but that was his job); he also painted (without a brush) with a bottlebrush, cut hair and probably did many other things that he did not record.
